The meaning of 芒芒然 in the mainpage
Why 芒芒然归 in the Chinese stories of the mainpage is translated to "came home exhausted"? How to explain the word 芒 here? I searched the dictionary, but didn't get the point.

芒芒然 sounds similar with 茫茫然, are they related?

Hi Spencer, your question contributes to this topic. 芒芒然 is the borrowed word of 茫茫然 firstly, and 茫茫然 has the meaning of 忙,that's why I simply pointed out that 芒 and 忙 are borrowed words. I admit that this is confusing. --

The 芒 (mang2) here is interchangable with 忙 (mang2). The gramar is called "borrowed words" in classical Chinese language, the two words have the same pronounciation may beused interchangably sometimes.
忙 has the meaning of "in a hurried", 归 means "go back", thus the sentence is translated to "came home exhausted".
